This program is designed to assist students entering an academic path in preparation for careers such as hairdressers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists (39-5012); makeup artists for theatre and performance (39-5091); manicurists and pedicurists (39-5092); and skincare specialists (39-5094).**
Upon receipt of the diploma in cosmetology, an application will be submitted to the state board of cosmetic art examiners.
Students must successfully pass the exam to become licensed cosmetologists. Persons applying for admission to the cosmetology program must have proof of 10th grade completion (diploma or GED certificate/scores).
